Awesome place to stay when visiting with a group.  There is a river just behind Firmin Lodge where you can go for walks and enjoy the sound of the rapids.  Go for walk up Mount Pūtauaki and do the bush walks.  The lodge has every facility needed, great rooms, kitchen, toilets, showers, lounge, washing machine, dryer. Absolutely wonderful place to visit.

Firmin Lodge is a great place to stay for large groups. Close proximity to the Tarawera river that has awesome Rafting, Kayaking and Hiking. Climb Pūtauaki and camp at Lake Tarawera then hike to the Tarawera Falls.

Firmin lodge is a good facility to have annual functions, weddings, conferences, sports events and team building workshops.   Firmin lodge is located under Mt Pūtauaki and is next to the Tarawera river rapids which is awesome for the white water rafting.  The open spaces and mature trees surrounding Firmin Lodge create an awesome park like venue.  The town’s free hot thermal water swimming pools are complimentary to the Firmin Lodge.   The lodge will always be our companies number one event venue.

Cultural event organiser.

Firmin Lodge is a fantastic venue for us to host our camps. The facility is clean and modern throughout. The beds are comfortable and the ten 6 bed dorm layout works well for us. The kitchen is very well-equipped for group catering. The KDC staff are always a delight to deal with and their systems are timely and efficient. Altogether we could not recommend this facility more highly.
